Ear Lobe Repair

ear lobe repair example one

Dr. Steslow has been doing office surgeries for over 25 years.  With his additional wound care expertise, not only the surgery, but the importance of focusing on healing has become obvious.  Earlobe repair is a minor surgery that can be effectively performed in his office setting.

The need for repair of the earlobe can be caused by:

Heavy earrings gradually enlarge the piercing.

Children accidentally pulling out an earring causing a tear

Earings getting snagged on clothing and tearing the skin

Gauges that want to be reversed

Dr. Steslow will perform a free evaluation prior to the procedure and discuss the patient's goals, the procedure itself, and the healing process.  He will review the best nutritional practices that will contribute to the best outcome for you.

The procedure is done in the office with local anesthesia.  Patients can drive themselves to and back from the appointment and can usually return to normal activities the next day.  Patients are asked to follow up in one and two weeks for suture removal and optimize the process of healing.  Re-piercing can take place in 3 months.

The cost can vary depending on the severity of the repair.  Starting price for one ear lobe repair is $400 dollars. Dr. Steslow can repair both earlobes at one visit, although this is not preferred.
